The new PIP scheme explained

The Government has begun to replace Disability Living Allowance (DLA) with Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for disabled people aged between 16 and 64. This process began in April 2013 in Great Britain and will begin in Northern Ireland from 20 June 2016. If you are awarded the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of PIP, you will continue to be able to lease a car, scooter or powered wheelchair through the Motability Scheme.

The best explanation of the new scheme is on the Motability site (link below), or of course you could just ask us!
