The annual ŠKODA retailer of the year awards were held on Friday 8th February and what a great night it was for #TeamTartan
ŠKODA retailers from all over the country gathered for the prestigious award ceremony; held at the Tobacco Dock in London, which celebrates success across a number of key business disciplines across the ŠKODA retailer network. And we are delighted to announce that the flag was flying high for D. M. Keith's newly promoted Dealer Principal Aaron Carter.
Aaron was awarded the prestigious ŠKODA Challenge Sales Manager of the year award following a very successful year at D. M. Keith ŠKODA Grimsby.
Aaron started his motor trade career with Westgate Motors back in 2010 as a trainee Sales Executive in SEAT. With his dedicated work ethic, passion and commitment to customer satisfaction he quickly moved through the ranks to lead the ŠKODA Sales team in 2015. During the transition from Westgate to D. M. Keith in January 2018, Aaron remained a positive cornerstone in the business and as a result of this he has now taken the lead as Head of Business for not only ŠKODA, but now SEAT & Honda across the full Grimsby site.
We are delighted for Aaron and this is testament to his hard work and demonstration of our family values.
Team Tartan were also celebrating across other business categories with Damon Frank representing our ŠKODA Hull dealership & Chris Farthing representing ŠKODA Leeds in the ŠKODA Challenge. Both Damon & Chris were runners up in their categories for ŠKODA Challenge Parts Advisor of the year and Service Technician of the year respectively. Congratulations to all of our team representing the D. M. Keith family - we are delighted for you all.
The ŠKODA Challenge calls on the best of the best from various disciplines including Sales Manager, Sales Executive, Service Advisors, Parts Managers / advisors, Service Technician & Diagnostic Technicians.
Kicking off with a role related question round with the top five entrants with the highest marks from each job role going through to the national finals. The winner of each category will go on to represent ŠKODA UK at the international finals in Šibenik, Croatia, from 27th to 30th June 2019, where they will take on the best in the world. Fingers crossed for international success for Aaron.
The gala dinner & award evening itself was a spectacular event which featured the Kingdom Choir and a surprise appearance & gig with Paloma Faith; ŠKODA brand partner in conjunction with the Princes Trust. Our team had a thoroughly enjable evening celebrating our award winners and Paloma was also keen on joining the D. M. Keith family cheekily modelling one of our very own tartan bowties - a new member of our Keith clan.
On behalf of the whole D. M. Keith team we would like to thank the ŠKODA events team for a fantastic evening.
Here's to many more awards for #TeamTartan next year.....
