Keith’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains, in accordance the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Our Structure and Supply ChainsD. M. Keith primarily specialises in the retailing of new and used vehicles, leasing vehicles and the service and repair of vehicles (aftersales). We are also the UK’s largest ŠKODA retailer. With ten sites across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire representing ŠKODA, SEAT and Honda, we employ approximately 300 people. Policies and trainingOur Group has systematic policies and procedures in place to ensure modern slavery and trafficking does not occur within the business. These include:• Employee Code of Conduct• Whistleblowing Policy• Internal anti-slavery and trafficking Policy• Safeguarding and Welfare of Young People and Vulnerable Adults Policy• Awareness-raising programme • Centralised HR ensuring compliance with recruitment procedures• Outsourced Payroll ensuring compliance with pay scale regulationsAll D. M. Keith’s staff have an obligation to familiarise themselves with our Policies to help in the identification and prevention of modern slavery. New employees are introduced to these policies are part of the induction process. All policies are published on our internal intranet portal.Business Risk AssessmentDue to the nature of our business, our main suppliers are the vehicle manufacturers in the supply of the vehicles and parts which occurs overseas. We do however have a number of suppliers with contracts negotiated at Group level. The operational supply of valeting, cleaning and security services has been identified as a high risk to our business. In order to mitigate such risk, we only do business with companies that hold values consistent with D. M. Keith’s. We ensure all contracts are managed and reviewed centrally, to ensure minimum wage legislation is adhered to. We will continue to work with our staff, suppliers and third party contractors to ensure appropriate measures continue to implemented, in the fight against slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. The Board of Directors of the Company approved this statement November 2018
