Empowering Yorkshire Air Ambulance: D. M. Keith Introduces New Hybrid Fleet
At D. M. Keith, we take immense pride in our longstanding partnership with Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA). For over a decade, we've stood by their side, providing support to their community fundraising teams, ensuring they can continue fostering connections within their local communities and contributing to the charity’s vital life-saving missions. This year, as we celebrate another milestone in our collaboration, we're thrilled to announce the introduction of a new fleet of eco-friendly vehicles to further bolster YAA's efforts.
Since 2007, we've sponsored Yorkshire Air Ambulance, recognising the crucial role they play in our community. As part of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, we've decided to upgrade YAA's fundraising teams’ fleet of vehicles with four brand-new Skoda Octavia SEL IV hatchbacks. These hybrid models, equipped with DSG (Automatic) gearbox, represent the latest in automotive technology and embody our dedication to reducing our environmental impact.
The handover, took place at our Skoda Leeds showroom, was a momentous occasion for both organisations. Joined by community fundraising managers, Vickie Cowan & Tessa Klemz, and fundraising directors, Helen Callear & Katie Roberts from Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We exchanged the keys to their old vehicles for the sleek new Skoda Octavia Hybrids. It was a symbolic gesture of our continued partnership and shared commitment to serving the region.
The decision to transition to hybrid vehicles reflects our belief in the importance of sustainability and our desire to lead by example in the automotive industry. By investing in eco-friendly technology, we not only support YAA's operations but also contribute to a cleaner, greener future for Yorkshire and beyond.
‘These vehicles are invaluable assets to our fundraising teams, enabling us to seamlessly attend and host fundraising events across Yorkshire, allowing us to maintain our strong connections with our local communities and supporters. In addition, we are excited about the positive environmental impact these vehicles will have, aligning with our commitment to sustainability.
On behalf of all of us at Yorkshire Air Ambulance, I wanted to express our sincere gratitude to D. M. Keith for your generous contribution; we truly appreciate your ongoing support'.
Katie Roberts, Interim Fundraising Director (West & South)
These new hybrid vehicles are integral to the daily activities of YAA’s community fundraising team, and play a pivotal role in helping them to achieve the funds required to keep Yorkshire Air Ambulance's fleet of helicopters maintained and operational, ensuring their critical care teams are available to reach those in need.
As we continue our journey with YAA, we remain steadfast in our dedication to empowering them with the tools they need to succeed, today and for generations to come. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these vehicles will have on YAA's life-saving operations over the next 12 months.
